 After wedding sessions: trend in wedding photography

A Day After photo shoot is when both of you get together with your wedding photographer for one more couple’s shoot after the wedding.

It doesn’t necessarily need to be the day after the wedding (we know of couples who have waited until they got back from their honeymoon or even until their one year anniversary).

Why would a couple want an after session?

Mainly you want to share with your guest the cocktail time or you ran out of time between your ceremony and reception to get all of the pictures you wanted

Think about it: Wouldn’t you have more fun taking your wedding photos if you didn’t have to worry about rushing off to your cocktail hour?

On a wedding day, we are  constricted by a timelin, most of the time, we only get 30 /45 minutes with the couple to do their romantic photos, and so often, you have your wedding planning hovering.

The after wedding photos is the perfect answer to this as you have so much more freedom.
Day-after photo shoot it is also called Trash the Dress, but Do I have to really trash it?

Of course not!  It’s just a fun session to do when you have more time than the day of the wedding or a situation you wouldn’t dare do the day of the wedding. Sure you can get a little risky with it, like splashing in water or riding horseback since the fear of getting it dirty is over, but you don’t have to Trash your Dress.

 Can I still do a session with BODAKIDS if you didn’t shoot my wedding?

Absolutely! We can certainly add a little spice to your wedding collection even if we didn’t cover your wedding. This is the perfect opportunity to add a different style to your wedding photos and new locations.
